Information brief pursuant to article 13 of legislative decree 196/2003

Pursuant to legislative decree 30 June 2003 No 196 (hereinafter “Privacy Code”) Antica Gelateria Matteo srl, (hereinafter the “Company”) wishes to notify following information to you referring to the handling of your personally identifiable information, it being understood in visiting the site shop.fruttagelato.it (hereinafter the “site”) you acknowledge and accept, to the extent required, the procedures illustrated in this information brief on privacy.

1. The purposes of handling personally identifiable information

The handling of the personally identifiable information provided by you and/or acquired during navigation on the site serves the following purposes:

to enable access to and navigation in the Site as also to compile anonymous statistics on the Site's use to ascertain its correct operation and to ascertain any responsibilities in the event of irregular acts committed during navigation;

to furnish the Site registration service;

to furnish the services offered by the Company;

to promote offers through the Newsletter, traditional mailing and SMS.

2. Cookies

3. Handling procedures – Security measures

The handling of your personally identifiable information may comprise in addition to its collection, recording, storing, modification, communication and cancellation.

In addition, handling may take place with or without the use of electronic instruments by personnel specially appointed for this purpose. 

The storage of information make involve hard copy and/electronic/IT/ optical media and for the time period strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes set forth under article 1, in compliance with current law.

As concerns your personally identifiable information, the Company shall deploy all instruments appropriate to guarantee its safety and confidentiality in compliance with the provisions of the Privacy Code. In particular, all those technical, IT, organisational, logistic and procedural security measures will be adopted, as laid down by the Privacy Code, in such a way as to guarantee a minimum level of data protection as required by the law in force.

Moreover, the methodologies adopted guarantee that access to the data is only permitted to persons appointed to handle it by the Company.

4. Conferring data

As concerns the provision of personally identifiable information please be informed that:

the IT systems and software procedures put in place for the Site's operation will, in the course of ordinary activities, acquire some personally identifiable information as a regular part of Internet communication protocols; simply by accessing the site will, therefore, entail the Company's acquisition of some personally identifiable information;

some personally identifiable information is necessary for registration with the Site. If you refuse to provide it the registration procedure cannot be completed.

5. Communication and disclosure of information

The personally identifiable information collected to achieve the objectives set forth under the foregoing point 1 will not be disclosed to third parties.

6. The rights of interested parties

Pursuant to article 7 and successive amendments of the Code of Privacy, you have the right, inter alia, to:

be informed that personally identifiable information is or is not held on you and its communication to you in an intelligible manner;

obtain the following information from the Data Controller:

indications on the origin of the personally identification information and on the handling procedure, the approach adopted in handling such information by electronic devices;

indications of details referring to the Data Controller and person/s responsible for handling personally identification information;

indication on the subjects or categories of subjects whose personally identification information can be disclosed;

and obtain:

the update, adjustment or supplement to your personally identification information;

the cancellation, transformation into an anonymous format or the block of personally identification information whose handling infringes the law, including that information whose storage is unnecessary for the purposes for which its was collected or subsequently handled;

attestation of the fact that the operations as per the foregoing points (i) and (ii) have been brought to the attention, as also concerns their content, of the persons to whom the information has been communicated or disclosed, unless this is action is impossible or entails an unreasonable deployment of resources with respect to the right to be safeguarded;

oppose, either wholly or in part,

the handling of personally identification information, on legitimate grounds, even if pertinent for the purpose for which it was collected;

the handling of personally identification information for purposes of commercial information or the despatch of advertising or sales material or for conducting market research or publicity communication.

The foregoing rights, which may be exercised either directly or through a proxy, in the forms provided for under articles 8 and 9 of the Privacy Code. In order to exercise the foregoing rights, you must send a written request by ordinary mail to the Data Controller whose name and address are indicated below.
